Erin Araujo is a, native New Yorker that splits her time between New York City and San Cristobal, Chiapas, Mexico. Her artistic process is a well-tuned conglomerate of constant solo and collaborative painting, sculpture, stop-motion video, activism and radical geography. Araujo has exhibited in New York, Mexico and Bolivia. Her work is deeply personal, exploring a sense of transparency and transition that parallels the struggles of love, death, life and injury that comes from living in countries that are constantly at war. In May she will complete a MA in Geography at Hunter College, CUNY, complimenting her Bachelors of Science in Earth Systems Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Araujo's art education consists of a year at the Art Students League of New York (2004-2005), five months at Bellas Artes, UNICACH in Tuxtla,Gutierrez, Chiapas (2003-2004) and a year at the Puerta Abierta School of Art in Santa Cruz, Bolivia (2002-2003).

Erin Araujo comparte su tiempo entre Nueva York y San Cristóbal de las Casas. Su proceso artístico es un, bien delineado, conglomerado de pintura a solas y en colectivo, escultura, stop-motion video, activismo y geografía radical. Araujo ha exhibido en Nueva York, México y Bolivia. Su trabajo es profundamente personal, explorando un sentido de transparencia y transición que dibuja paralelismos entre las luchas de amor, muerte, vida y la injuria que proviene por vivir en países en constante guerra. Termina una maestría en Geografía por el Hunter College, CUNY, licenciada en Sistemas de Ciencias de la Tierra por la Universidad de Massachusetts, Amherst. La educacion artística de Araujo's se forma de un año en la Liga de Estudiantes de Nueva York (2004-2005), cinco meses en Bellas Artes, UNICACH en Tuxtla,Gutierrez, (2003-2004) y un año en la Escuela de Arte Puerta Abierta en Santa Cruz, Bolivia (2002-2003).
